A League of Their Own

A League of Their Own is a long-running and widely acclaimed UK sports-themed game show. A collaborate effort of CPL Productions, A League of Their Own is developed by Paul Brassey and exec produced by Murray Boland, Danielle Lux, Jim Pullin and Barbara Lee. The comedy panel sport series has been available on the Sky 1 channel since March 11, 2010.

The series is hosted by James Corden and follows regular guests Jamie Redknapp and Andrew Flintoff, who also perform as team captains. The idea of A League of Their Own is rather simple – it’s an ordinary panel quiz game where two teams contest for points. There are three rounds in each game, in the course of which the Read and the Blue teams, that comprise sportsmen, comedians, singers and actors, compete for the biggest number of points and test their sport knowledge.

A League of Their Own has been a critics and viewers’ favorite since its premiere back in 2010. It has enjoyed 2014 BAFTA Award as “Best Comedy and Comedy Entertainment Programme” and two nominations in the categories Most Popular TV Presenter for James Corden and Best Entertainment Programme for different awards. We believe that A League of Their Own will still be on a roll in the upcoming season and please its fan club with more humor and honest competition.
