Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! (Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu LOVE!) is another addition to the long line-up of fantasy anime series available on Crunchyroll, the major on-line broadcasting services devoted to anime and manga. The animation series came out on January 1, 2015.

The storyline of Binan revolves around 5 teenage boys, Yumoto Hakone, En Yufuin, Atsushi Kinugawa, Io Naruko and Ryuu Zaou, who one day meet a magical wombat that persuades them to go and save the world. Thus, the boys become a love defense club using so-called ‘loveracelets’. A special magical set transforms ordinary human boys into Battle Lovers and charges them with the power of love. This might enables them to fight hatred and grievance, which are so widely spread in our world.

Since Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! is a world saving themed anime, and this subject is always popular, the series is widely acclaimed around the globe. However, Binan is a sort of a parody on the popular genre’s representatives, so one shouldn’t take it too seriously.
