Power & Ice is a reality series coming from Tricon Films and Television and available to History Channel’s vievers. Power & Ice first hit the small screen on August 27, 2015. Mike New (Jaws: The Inside Story, Combat Countdown, Crash Science) performs as a narrator on the show.

Power & Ice follows the workers of three Alaskan power companies as they compete in the world of line building and maintenance in the most unfriendly and challenging conditions in the whole nation. Each part of the program revolves around these brave men as they work in freezing temperatures, storms and gales to keep the lights and power on. This cutting-edge real life program conveys the central message — without these experienced and hard-working men the country wouldn’t have such a reliable power grid.

As a rule, the audience is interested in the documentaries devoted to rare or dangerous occupations and people working in very challenging conditions. However, Power & Ice hasn’t become a smash hit yet, and the viewers wish the show to be unscripted and thus more natural. Power & Ice is holding a modest 5.4 out of 10, so the creative team should find a way to improve the series. There is no doubt that if they do it, the adrenaline-packed and gripping series will get its steady and high ratings.
