Project Runway Junior

Project Runway Junior is another addition to the Project Runway block of programs that also includes other by-programs of the veteran show Project Runway like Under the Gunn, Project Runway All Stars, Project Accessory and others. A collaborate product between Bunim-Murray Productions, Full Picture and Sara Rea Productions, Project Runway Junior has been broadcast on the Lifetime network since November 12, 2015.

The new design contest program is a ‘younger’ variant of the original program and takes a look at twelve ambitious fashion designers under the age of 18. As in the original show, the competitors’ creations will be evaluated by Tim Gunn and the critic panel comprising Christian Siriano, Kelly Osbourne and Aya Kanai. The prizes the young designers compete for is a full schooling to FIDM in California, a full sewing and crafting salon, a feature in seventeen magazine, and a hefty cash prize of $25,000 to set off their own line.

The format, the inspiration and the intensity of Project Runway Junior pretty much repeats the original program, and that is a guarantee that the derivative product will be on a roll, as Project Runway has always been a critics and viewers’ favorite.
