Strange Empire: Rise of the Women

Strange Empire (also titled ‘Strange Empire: Rise of the Women’) is a Canadian television western drama show, which is broadcast on the CBC network in Canada and on the LMN channel in the US. The drama series was penned and developed by Laurie Finstad-Knizhnik (Man with a Gun, Crying Freeman) who also performed as an exec producer on the series together with Jeff Sagansky and Tim Johnson. Strange Empire: Rise of the Women’ is produced by Janestown Productions and released on LMN in the United States in May of 2015.

The plot of Strange Empire: Rise of the Women is laid not far from the Alberta-Montana brim in the second half of the 19th century. A fateful meeting on the border turns into a tragedy – the village loses its males. Three strong women – Kat, Rebecca and Isabel - squad together so that to survive and seek their independence in the cruel world of west in the 1860s.

The initial chapter of Strange Empire: Rise of the Women came out in America on May 29, 2015 and included of thirteen sixty-minute parts. The ratings of the series have not been exceptionally high yet, and we hope the creative team will find a way to develop a unique idea of the series and make it a smash hit in the sophomore season.
