Turn: Washington’s Spies

Turn: Washington’s Spies (also known as just TURN) is a long-running history-related drama series that comes from the production companies AMC Studios, Sesfonstein Productions and Josephson Entertainment. Craig Silverstein, Alexander Rose and LaToya Morgan, among others, served as screenwriters for the war drama series. Season 1 of Turn: Washington’s Spies came out on April 6, 2014 on the AMC channel.

The plot of Turn: Washington’s Spies is set against the background of America's fight for independence and is packed with action, tense and drama. TURN storyline revolves around Abe Woodhull, a New York farmer, who teams up with his old friends and they make The Culper Ring. The men are spies who change the flow of the war.

Turn: Washington’s Spies was met with rather mixed reviews, but mostly positive. However, the viewership numbers are not so high – the series averages about 0.5 million followers. TURN is now in the top 10 most popular scripted drama series for adults aged18-49 and 25-54. The fact that TURN is holding a solid 8.0/10 mark on IMDb reflects the popularity of the series.

In 2016 AMC announced the renewal decision of TURN and added that season 4 can be a finale. It will come out in spring 2017.
