Released The Big Bang Theory - 01.03.2018
The Big Bang Theory is a cult sitcom that is available on the CBS channel in the United States. The most-watched product of Bill Prady and Chuck Lorre (Two and a Half Men, Mike & Molly), who also exec produced the series alongside Steven Molaro, The Big Bang Theory comes from the production studios Chuck Lorre Productions, Inc. and Warner Bros. Television. The hilarious and award-winning sitcom came out on September 24, 2007 and since that time it has spread throughout the globe.
The storyline of the sitcom is set in Pasadena and follows a company of brilliant scientists and their immediate circle. Leonard Hofstadter, Sheldon Cooper, Howard Wolowitz and Raj Koothrappali are four geeks and best friends, who like to waste time in the local comics shop. Since Leonard fell in love with their beautiful but rough neighbor Penny and Raj acquired an ability to speak with women being sober, things in the company changed greatly. Now the millions of fans follow Sheldon being more social (unbelievable, isn’t it?) and Howard finally growing up.
The Big Bang Theory has become a smash hit quickly after its debut and is still in a roll, as season 9, for example, attracted about 18 million viewers, which is exceptional. More than 60 awards and 220 nominations prove the fact that The Big Bang Theory is the best sitcom ever shown on the screen. And we sincerely hope it will live long!
Since 2007, quite a lot of star quests have been seen in the series. The most remarkable cameos are made by Stephen Hawking, Sir James Earl Jones and Carrie Fisher, Stan Lee and Wil Wheaton).
In the series, we see the personages playing musical instruments, but in fact, the actors learned to play for the show. Mayim Bialik learned to play the harp, Jim Parsons - theremin and recorder, Johnny Galecki – the cello, and Simon Helberg – the piano. By the way, Mayim Bialik is the real-life PhD, she earned her Ph.D. in Neural Biology.
In season 1, when Raj, Leonard, and Howard are trying to find a fourth person to replace Sheldon on their Physics Bowl team. Raj suggests the actress Mayim Bialik, saying, "You know who's apparently very smart, is the girl who played TV's Blossom. She got a PhD in neuroscience or something."
The most loyal fans have probably noticed that Penny has been using the same purse since the first season.
Sheldon's special illness song, "Soft Kitty", is based on an Australian song from Bill Prady's daughter's school. ‘Soft Kitty’ has been featured on Australian children's television show Playschool.
Sara Gilbert who plays former Leonard's girlfriend, Leslie, also played Johnny Galecki's girlfriend in Roseanne (1988). Laurie Metcalf, who plays Mrs. Cooper, was also his co-star in Roseanne (1988) and Sara Gilbert's aunt.
